Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Krauss were two of the youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer, songwriter and bluegrass musician. Her birth date was the 23rd of July 1971. Her age was just teen when she first entered the world of music winning local competitions from the age of 10 of age and recording her debut album at 14 years old. She signed with Rounder Records, her first album debuted in 1987. Then, she was invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, which is the group she performs with. Her debut album in a group with this band came out in the year 1989.
