Chaka Khan

Chaka Khan, also popularly called"the Queen of Funk, is a popular American music producer. Her career has been spanning more than five decades, she has been awarded a total of 10 Grammys. Billboard declared her to be the 65th most popular dancer of all time. Born in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz at a very young age by her mother. The beginning years of her career, she performed in various groups. Then, in the near future, she became a member of the band Rufus. In the year 2000 the singer released her first album along with the group. In the year following, they were awarded the first Grammy. Then, a few years later released her first album as solo artist. As time passed, she released a number of albums like 'Echoes of an Era, The Woman I Am as well as Funk This. Also, she is known for her charitable work. Chaka Khan Foundation was established in order to aid children from low-income families as well as people who suffer from autism. Khan has also been an actress at times. She played the sister of Carrie, in the musical "Mama, I Want to Sing." Chaka Chaka Chaka
